/ Frequently asked — Anti-Scamming & Cyber Awareness

I've just been scammed — what should I do right now?

Disconnect the device from the internet, power it off, and call us on 1800 836 390 immediately. Don't use that computer or phone again until we've checked it. Time matters — every minute the device stays online lets the scammer continue. We do free over-the-phone triage for confirmed scam victims and can usually attend same-day.

Is your awareness training suitable for seniors?

Yes — it's the core of what we do. We sit down at the kitchen table, in plain English, run through real examples (Microsoft Support calls, ATO scams, fake bank texts, romance scams, gift-card cons), and lock down devices to make following through on a scam genuinely difficult. Families regularly book us for parents and grandparents.

Can you tell if my computer is still infected after a scam call?

Yes. We run a forensic check for remote-access tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, UltraViewer, etc.), persistence mechanisms, modified browser sessions, planted email rules and unauthorised browser extensions. If anything is found we remove it on-site and lock down everywhere the device was logged into.

How do I stop scam calls from getting through in the first place?

We help you set up call-filtering on iPhone, Android, and landline/VoIP services, register your number on the Do Not Call register, and configure your bank, email and Centrelink accounts so they never act on a phone call alone. Doesn't kill every scam call, but cuts the volume dramatically.

How do I pay for the job?

Easy Payment Onsite — EFTPOS or cash payment upon job completion. You only pay once the work is done — after we've fixed the problem, walked you through what happened, and you're happy with the result.
